FRAME CARD (RAMKORT) WITH STAMPS FROM AALL & CREATE

Here's a frame card that I made with a special die from Studio Light, a large gel plate, a brayer, a stencil and some stamps from Aall & Create. I also used my big Gemini A4 die cutting machine in order to cut out the shape.

I started out printing an A4 sized paper with pitch black impasto acrylic paint (from Finnabair / Prima) big bubble wraps, on a 9"*11" gel plate from Ranger ink.  After that I cut out the shape of a rectangle frame with a die from Studio Light.

Folding the frame is easy. One just works around the page, creasing and folding - in order to create the frame and leaving most of the print on the backside.

The die set comes with an easel die, which makes this in to a proper paper frame :). One can fold away the easel function when one sends it to someone in an envelope :).

I gel plated a colourful piece of paper, with a slight touch of a stencil from Aall & Create. I used these acrylic paints from Dina Wakley, which I find work very well with a gel plate:
blushing
cheddar
magenta

Here you can see it a little better. It's stencil #83 (Paris - by Aida Domisiewicz)

I pre-folded the frame, just to see what it would look like in the end...

I stamped some poppy flowers to a gel plated paper, which had some white spaces. I used stamp set #200 (Hope - by Tracy Evans). I also used the love word from this set.

I stamped the flower to the paper, together with triangles and hearts from the following stamp sets from Aall & Create:
#10 (by Autour de Mwa) (grunge texture (my name for the stamp set))
#155 (love birds by Olga Heldwein)

I glued the colourful piece of paper to the middle of the frame and started glueing the frame pieces - beginning with the top and bottom pieces.
Depending on the drying time of the glue, it might be a good idea to use both double sided tape and glue to make the frame sturdy. I like using a double-sided tape runner (3L Home hobby) and deluxe adhesive from Nuvo / Tonic Studios.

I also stamped the word love on a white piece of paper and glued it to the poppy stem. You can find the word stamp in the same stamp set as the poppy flower.

I actually like to contrast the black and white frame gives, to the sort of soft and romantic look.
