Here's a cover for a mini album... I've used both stamps and stencils from Aall & Create.
I started out brayering some acrylic paints from Dina WAkley on a gel plate and put the big and lovely stencil Sunflower power stencil #77 (by Olga Heldwein) on top, when I pulled the print.
I trimmed the paper and made scored and folded the paper into a cover.
Here's a clean look at the stencil.
I used Clean color brush markers from Zig to ink the stamp #151 layered domino border stamp (from Tracy Evans) and then made a partial print, in order to create some more texture to the paper.
Here I've stamped a big clock from the stamp (#143 time flies (from Tracy Evans)) on to parchment paper with Versafine ink onyx black and then poured some clear embossing powder on before I heat set it with a heat gun. I cut it out and put it in the center. I really like the way the pattern shows through the clock.
I also made use of the butterfly from the same big stamp set. I coloured the butterfly in with some pink hues from Spectrum noir alcohol markers.
I also stamped a sentiment from the stamp set #198 Voyager (by Olga Heldwein)... and cut it apart, so I could spread the message all over the cover.
Here you can see that I've done a bit of repetetive stamping in the corner, with a text from stamp set #200 Hope (from Tracy Evans)... The text says Do new things every day.
And here I've repeated the process, with another stamp from stamp set #199 Eclectic stems (by Tracy Evans)... The text says Take each day one step at a time.
Lovely cover. I have been thinking about making a journal and I thought about using some of the Tim Holtz caulk like papaer for the outside. I have had it a long time and now you have given me a chance to put it to use.
